In Classical Greek times, it was thought that the breast milk of the Greek goddess Hera gave immortality to Hercules. Breastmilk made Hercules invincible. Hence HeraMums.
The aim of this platform is to support your breastfeeding journey wherever you are.
Breastfeeding is a wonderful thing. Some have a very straight forward experience, others do not.

Who are we?
We are a group of current and former breastfeeding mothers and supporters who want to make it easy for you to find answers to your questions and challenges with breastfeeding. This way we hope you will find solutions that are right for you and your baby.
How did HeraMums start?
We are in early stages of development of this tool which will be an app and website. We believe that the best way to create the platform is to talk with people who would use it. So we are talking with a breastfeeding mothers from all backgrounds about what kind of things they would like in an app.
We are also talking with Midwives, Health Visitors and other breastfeeding support providers about how they can help support us breastfeeding mothers using HeraMums.

We welcome users from all backgrounds irrespective of experience, age, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender.
Thought the site and app we use female pronouns. We use these pronouns as the majority of our users identify as female. If you identify as male but chest/breastfeed we welcome you, and have additional specific information for the challenges that you may face whilst chest/breastfeeding. Please contact us if you have additional questions so that we can add them. In the future we will be able to let you choose the term you prefer, but we’re not able to do this just yet.
